MICHAEL SADLER is an award winning vocalist, songwriter and performer, most notable as co-founder/frontman for iconic Canadian Prog Band SAGA since 1977. Recognizable as early MTV favorites with their worldwide hits “On The Loose”, “Wind Him Up”, “Don’t Be Late”, “The Flyer” plus many more among their 22 studio albums, live releases and compilations.
When not touring or recording with the band, Michael enjoys performing with various artists aboard floating musical havens Cruise to the Edge, and their sister ship, On The Blue Cruise.
serengazer – the new prog metal band of Michael and Seren, with co-founders Paul Bielatowicz, Matt Dorsey and Jimmy Keegan – debuted at Progstock Festival in October 2025 and returned in October 2026 to an enthusiastic reception. The band is currently recording its debut album.
Born in Wales and raised in Oakville, Ontario, Sadler lives in the United States with his wife Gwen, and their son Seren.
