The first concert I ever attended was Rush and Saga, at the Winnipeg Arena in April of 1980. I'd never heard of Saga before but was enthralled with the opening number, "Ice Nice". Michael began to sing, and I was floored. The one song in the set that I'd heard on the radio - "See Them Smile" - solidified it for me. I wanted to be a performing rock musician. I'd been playing guitar and singing for several years by that point, but now I KNEW my fate. I immediately went out and bought the first two albums (the only ones available at the time) and kept on buying after that. I learned every word, every note of every song on each of those albums.

24 years later I am still writing, recording and performing in every spare moment of my time. Thanks for the inspiration Michael!!
